Tropical Treasure Hunt is proud to partner with Leatherback Brewing Company, a local brewery that specializes in traditional beer styles with a distinctly Caribbean flair. Originating in St. Croix, Leatherback’s St. Thomas tasting room location has 16 taps that feature the original flagship line, limited releases from St. Croix, and limited releases from local experimental brewer José Flores. He combines local ingredients and flavors with his own unique talents and taste buds to create a variety of brews to surprise and delight any craft brew connoisseur. Flores and Leatherback are passionate about USVI history and their community, which provides inspiration when dreaming up new recipes.

Queen’s Gold Beer

Flores’ newest offering, Queen’s Gold, will be available soon on limited release in the St. Thomas tasting room. This draft was made on his small batch system, and he has new brews being released every 3-4 weeks. The Imperial Pale lager is served in a 10 oz. goblet, in honor of all the Queens, and it lives up to its name with its golden color and lacy white head. At 8% ABV, it has the highest alcohol content of the current selection at Leatherback and offers notes of pineapple, grapefruit, bread, and honey. But hurry – this treasure will only be available until it runs out! That’s the beauty of small batch craft beers.

The Sea Walls Project

Leatherback and Tropical Treasure Hunt are also proud to partner with the PangeaSeed Foundation in supporting Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans, a public art program coming to St. Thomas November 7-12. The artists will be painting beautiful and educational murals on walls around the island to raise awareness for critical environmental issues. Interested in supporting this amazing project? Visit Leatherback St. Thomas five days a week, conveniently located across from Havensight Mall. Hours are Thursday through Saturday from 12pm-10pm, and Tuesday and Wednesday from 12pm-7pm. Happy Hour is from 4-6 during the week days with an extended Happy Hour for Street Level VI’s Open Mic Night on Thursdays. Patrons can also enjoy live music on Saturdays while indulging in the unique, locally inspired beers and small plates.
