Tropical Treasure Hunt Co. (TTH): What is your role at Tropical Treasure Hunt?

Ryan: I am the General Manager of the St. Pete Beach, FL location.

TTH: How long have you been with the company?

Ryan: I have been with the company since July 2021, so a little over a year.

TTH: What is your favorite thing about working with Tropical Treasure Hunt?

Ryan: My favorite thing about working with Tropical Treasure Hunt is being able to provide unique experiences for people. Especially when we have the opportunity to do something special like an engagement proposal. Hiding in the bushes to take photos of couples experiencing one of the most memorable moments of their lives is so fun and rewarding.

TTH: What is the most challenging thing about working with Tropical Treasure Hunt?

Ryan: The most challenging thing for me is spending so much time on beautiful beaches, soaking in the sun, and hearing the sound of crashing waves… oh wait, I guess that really isn’t that challenging!

TTH: Who is your favorite pirate?

Ryan: My favorite pirate is Blackbeard! His tactic of putting gunpowder in his beard and lighting it on fire is the chaotic energy I love to see!

TTH: Do you have any pets?

Ryan: I do have a pet! Her name is Winifred, but I call her Winnie for short. She is black dachshund mix that I rescued from the Galveston Humane Society in Galveston, TX. She is now 7 years old and is my forever travel companion. Winnie is my entire world!

TTH: What talents or interests do you have outside of work?

Ryan: I love to participate in community theater as well as perform at karaoke bars! I am often found singing at work, in the car, in my head, and as of recently in the Gay Men’s Chorus of Tampa Bay. I also absolutely love going to bar trivia… even though I am not the best at trivia.

TTH: If you could have dinner with three people, alive or dead, who would they be and what would you eat?

Ryan: I would absolutely go to brunch with RuPaul Charles, Barack Obama, and Tina Fey.

TTH: Tell us a joke.

Ryan: The first few jokes I had in mind were not appropriate. 

Why do mushrooms get invited to all the parties?

Because they are such fungis!
